The Milkshake thing is kinda dying and I really wanted to keep up with this blog so I decide I'd change it up a little bit and have it serve dual purposes. One purpose is to secure and promote the proper function of milkshakes in mainstream society and the other is to encourage the masses to listen to what I deem good music. If there were two things I could not go without in this world one would be milkshakes and the other would be music. I've always wanted to do this but for the most part I have been far to lazy to do so but the other day my good friend Steven sent me a link to his blog and he inspired me to do the same. Fellow milkshake contributor Collin Decker has been a long time music evangelist until one day he got lame and stopped making posts. The problem with Collin is that he doesn't understand that music is eternal and must be tended to like a flock of sheep in the summer (you know like shaving and whatnot). So I took it upon my self to exhume the ashes of what once was CD-panda and have taken the liberty of moving its mission over to Milkshake Mayhem. So without further to say I bring you the first music oriented post

For my first post I didn't want to do anything to grand because then people who read this will expect to much out of me and I'll start cracking balls to give them something awesome so lets keep it chill and go with music I already have instead of me going on a music crusade to give good tunes to the 5 people who will ever read this.

The first artist I'm going to ordain and declare to have divine motives is Cut Copy. Cut Copy are from Australia and while I have owned this album since 2006 only recently has it found me. They have another newer album but I believe its better to start with the bands creation rather than its deeper cuts because only then do you truly understand what makes the band known as it is today. You see what styles still flourish in their songs or what styles died a fiery death. This album seems to stand as fork in the road in cut copys career two prevalent styles in this music seem to be that of 80s synth pop and more modern sleazy electro and if you go on to download other albums by them you will see that they definitely went with more of an 80s synth pop sound. This band has very emo lyrics which sometimes holds me back from playing songs by them when I'm with people because I don't want people thinking I have different intentions other than showing them a totally awesome band so maybe doing it in a less physical way will secure my true intentions. Anyway I have missed so many opportunities to see this band and I'm really shooting my self in the foot now because back then I wasn't really into this band but now I am and I could have seen them perform this album live a year or so after it came out. When I looked to see if they were playing in the states anytime soon I found that they were sticking to Australia which pisses me off but whatever it's not like I can blame them. Some interesting things I found in this album are that one of the songs has the same bassline as Devo's gut feeling/slap your mammy better known to this generation as the song from life aquatic the songs called bright neon payphone. Another thing I'd like to mention is that there is a very interesting remix of this song which actually turned me on to this band in the beginning it's a sebastiAn remix for going nowhere I lost the track along time ago so i'm not going to put it up here but if you like electro go check it out on youtube or something. But I cannot stress how much I want you to listen to this album it's really cool that the band connects every song together which fellow milkshake contributor Collin Decker has a little fetish for. But here it is my students I want you to go sit down somewhere and do whatever it is you do when you listen to music and then listen to this whole album and then tell me what you think of it on my face book. I would like you to tell me if you like the direction of blog and what you think of the album. I need to correct my self that one song doesn't have the same bass line as gut feeling/slap your mammy but the song mongoloid by devo sorry it was killing me once i realised
